• Develops and implements LCA’s 2009 programs
• Assesses needs and sets LCA program objectives
• Assists with locating potential speakers for LCA meetings
• Provides direction to LCA Officers and Planning Team
• Plans LCA Officer meetings and Planning Team meetings
• Attends all LCA events and engages all members/guests in attendance
• Ensures that LCA by-laws are upheld by all members
Treasurer & Membership Chair: Tracy Markert (Mercer)
• Directs and coordinates all LCA financial activities, and ensures that the LCA account is balanced and current
• Handles all invoices and ensures that receipts are submitted for all expenditures
• Tracks paid and unpaid membership dues, and follows-up on all unpaid memberships
• Checks mailbox and processes and distributes mail to appropriate officer(s)
• Tracks and maintains all changes to the LCA membership database
• Monitors membership directory with all current paid LCA members
• Orders new member badges
• Conducts new member orientations (if applicable)
• Initiates membership recruiting
Communications Chair: VACANT
• Sends out announcements regarding LCA meetings and events
• Maintains current LCA members e-mail distribution list
• Maintains current LCA website information
• Identifies and communicates opportunities to use LCA website
• Distributes member questions and inquiries to all members (if appropriate)
WorldatWork Local Network Liaison: Linda Nestor (Yum! Brands, Inc.)
• Liaison to WorldatWork
• Strengthens WorldatWork affiliations with area Compensation Associations
• Coordinates local CCP Certification courses (generally two per year)
• Keeps members informed of CCP Certification courses offered locally and regionally
WorldatWork Local Network Liaison-Elect: Open
Special Events Co-Chairs: Debbie Fisher (Yum! Brands, Inc.)
• Plans special events and activities not including regular membership meetings
• Responsible for planning education sessions, special networking events, and assisting with any special needs for membership meetings or certification courses
LCA-Gilmer Scholarship Chair: Sara Porter (McCann Erickson)
• Advertises scholarship(s) availability to various employers and schools
• Develops promotional materials and LCA-Gilmer Scholarship application
• Receives all student applications
• Creates a Scholarship Sub-Committee of current LCA members to determine scholarship recipient(s)
• Recommends scholarship recipient(s) to the Board for final approval
